Sammy's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Sammy is an approximately 6 year old Australian Shepherd who is looking for his forever home. While he seems to like everyone, he really prefers men. His ideal home would be with someone who is willing to play and exercise him. He loves to have his belly rubbed and is such a sweet boy! He was rescued recently and appeared to be very neglected, so needed his coat shaved to remove the matting. He is being fostered at a doggy day care and gets along with all the other dogs, but would love to have all of your attention too! He was skittish the first few days, so we're not recommending a home with small children. Teenagers would be fine though. $225 adoption fee applies. The 1st 30 days of all adoptions are a trial period & if things don't work out then your adoption fee is 75% refunded. ***Our email responses FREQUENTLY are marked as 'SPAM', so if you don't receive a response from us within 24-48 hours, please check your spam folder. Thank you!***

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammy, a Seahurst Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Seahurst, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Seahurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seahurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seahurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seahurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
