Leno's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hi my name is Leno; I’m a happy go lucky puppy that is looking for my forever home. I was rescued when I was out of options at an overflowing high-kill shelter in Oklahoma. My foster family has two children ages 4 and 7 and another dog all of whom I adore. My foster mom says I am such a good boy; super responsive, knows sit and wait, I don’t jump up and only bark to get my foster sister to relinquish a toy I want. I am 90% potty trained and sleep through the night and am pretty good on a leash. She says I am an amazing dog! Being a Catahoula I am intelligent, gentle, energetic, loving, inquisitive, independent, and can be strong willed ** CONTACT NANCY@MYAARF.ORG DIRECTLY IF INTERESTED - THE 'ADOPT ME' EMAIL LINK IS BROKEN AND WE ARE NOT RECEIVING THE MESSAGES ** Application and home visit required, $400 adoption fee applies. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and vaccinated. Adoptions start with a 30-day trial and if it's not a good fit during that period, we will refund 75% of the adoption fee. ** It costs us an average of $400 to $600 to bring a healthy dog in from out of state – more for sick or Heartworm positive dogs. ** We frequently get blocked by spam filters so if you haven't heard back from us, please check your spam folder. **

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leno, a Seahurst Catahoula Leopard Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Seahurst, or seeking a Catahoula Leopard Dog puppy from a breeder in Seahurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seahurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seahurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seahurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
