Spike's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Spike came to us from Yakima. His litter's previous home had been with an animal breeder/hoarder. Spike lives with 3 other dogs in his foster home & see's a cat on a regular basis, so he will come with the socialization process already started. Spike is approx. 3lbs right now & will probably be around 8lbs when full grown. Spike was born 1/25/11. Spike is an amazing little bundle of fun. He loves to be carried on his back like a baby, cuddle on the sofa & to play with the little dogs in his foster home in the evenings. He would do well with a family that is interested in letting him meet more people & dogs. He will make a great companion for any person & dog. He is learning to go on walks & ride in the car. He is approx 98% potty trained & is kennel trained. His foster mom leaves his kennel open for him all day so if he feels uncomfortable or nervous he can go in his own little bedroom. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask! Adoption fee applies. All our dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, & spayed/neutered. The first 30 days after adoption is considered a trial period, for any reason if you return the dog in the trial period your adoption fee is 100% refundable. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spike, a Seahurst Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Seahurst, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Seahurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seahurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seahurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seahurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
