Here's what the humans have to say about me:
✰✰ ROXY, 7 yrs of Age and #AVAILABLE – For more photos of ROXY please click http://www.norcalbcrescue.org/roxy.html ✰✰
ROXY is a 7-year-old girl who has lived an amazingly full & accomplished life. Before coming into rescue, she spent her days working 200 head of cattle for her family; she also produced three litters of puppies. You may have seen her last litter of pups here back in August. They were nicknamed the Flintstone pups, a gorgeous set of seven puppies born in rescue. ROXY was a fantastic mother, doting on her pups and taking excellent care of them. We promised her she wouldn't have to do that again! The pups have all been adopted into wonderful homes. Now it is ROXY’s turn to find her forever home.
ROXY is a small, yet mighty girl. She loves to play & run and is wicked fast. She retrieves 100% of the time & enjoys a good game of tug afterward. This girl wants something to do and then at the end of the day she likes to snuggle up on the couch next to her person. ROXY is completely silly for people & attention from people! She is biddable and has a wonderful desire to please. She already knows basic commands like sit, down, & "kennel up" to go in her crate and is treat-motivated for further training. She is housebroken and crate-trained for resting and sleeping at night. Because ROXY's drive around animals is strong, she’ll probably do best in a home where she is the only pet. While she has worked alongside another border collie during her cattle herding days, without that work, she may well see other animals as stock and try to herd them. ROXY should thrive in an active home and one where she gets to spend time with her person doing fun things.
ROXY is micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application (http://norcalbcrescue.org/adopt_info.html) and wish to enquire about ROXY, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.
ROXY is being fostered north of Sacramento, California.
