Gigi's Story...
Please contact the person listed at the end of the ad for more information on this kitty. Please do not contact Maine Coon Adoptions.
My name is Gigi, which may conjure memories of beautiful Leslie Caron dancing her little heart away in the 'Gigi' movie. I am very beautiful but I haven't been dancing much since my beloved owner died. Her family can't keep me so I lived a long 9 months in an empty condo by myself. Now I’ve been dumped at a shelter and I’m terrified! Not only is it a bad time to be at a shelter – it’s kitten time when adult cats, even YOUNG 3-yr-old kitties like me don't do particularly well – I’m so confused and frightened by these changes that I’m swiping at the staff. They want to put me down! Oh please, is there anyone out there to be a friend for an abandoned and lonely kitty? I'm a beautiful torti with some white accents and have so much love to give. I promise to bring all sorts of love and beauty (check me out -- I'm GORGEOUS) to your life and am sure to start dancing my little heart away just like the girl in the movie. I have been spayed and declawed and am very healthy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gigi, a Oakland Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
