Dee Dee's Story...
To learn more about me or adopt me, contact the person whose name is at the end of the ad. Do not contact Maine Coon Adoptions.

My name is Dee Dee. And if you think it's a cute name, just wait until you meet me! I've been told I'm the favorite cat in the shelter and once you meet me you'll see why -- I'm just the most charming and cute thing you'll ever meet. Really. I love to play chase and don't mind being the chaser or the chasee. Sometimes I run so fast that I slide across the floor. Is that cool or what? But just because I like to play, that doesn't mean I'm not a great lap cat as well. I'm very dainty and never use my claws when playing with people or being held. I have beautiful long black hair and, at only a year of age, weigh a svelte 6.5 pounds. Mostly, I'm a dear and charming kitty who needs a new home. I sure hope it's with you! I have been spayed, tested negative and am up to date on all my shots. I am in a shelter in the East Bay.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dee Dee, a Oakland Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
