We are four adorable young kitties who are looking for a home -- separately or together – because our daddy got really bad allergies that put him in the hospital. First there’s Kellin, an orange tabby who’s about a year and a half old and just loves to be loved (although he can be a bit of a chicken when he hears loud noises). He has been neutered and is current on his shots and weighs about 8-9 pounds. Kellin’s sister is Anai (pronounced an-nye-ya), who has gray stripes like a tiger. She’s smaller (at 4-5 pounds) and a bit shyer than her brother. She likes a quiet house so would probably do best in a house without children. She will need to be spayed but is current on her shots. Malaya is almost two and an adorable calico with a tail that’s bent at the end. She likes kids and is very sweet, if sometimes a little fussy and strident in her views (in other words, she talks back). She has also not been spayed and weighs 4-5 pounds but is up to date on all her shots. And then there’s the princess – Tinkerbell, who’s the baby of the family at eight months old. Tinkerbell is a gray-striped tabby who loves to curl up in your lap and gets along with kids and other cats. Right now she weighs 3-4 pounds and will need to get her shots and be spayed when she’s adopted.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Four Young Kitties, a Oakland Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
