Sadie's Story...
So! Here I am, Sadie, a wonderful, beautiful lady just longing to go home and be with you! Not only am I gorgeous with that Maine Coon ruff and long fluffy fur that you want in us Maine Coons, I'm easy to get along with – all you have to do is rub my ears, scratch my chin and brush me regularly, and I am happy! See? Easy! I loooove catnip and feather toys on a fishing pole! I'm not a needy sort that has to be on top of you all the time - though I am happiest hangin' in the same room with you. I'll talk to you as long as you want to listen, but I'll also return the favor. Here’s my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olas95xG5lY.
I'm 3 to 4 years old with some of the maturity that comes from having kittens when I was young. Let me be your one and only kitty and I'll bring an air of elegance to our home. I'm as healthy as can be - up to date on all my shots, tested negative and microchipped. What more could you want?!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Oakland Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
