Xandra's Story...

Hi! My name is Xandra and I am an ADORABLE kitten, with my black-and-white tuxedo markings and inquisitive face. I’m also very talkative and you’ll know when I’m looking for a little love and affection. I’m quick to purr and love to be held and gaze into your eyes with my adorable face. I’ve very active so perhaps you’d like to adopt one of my siblings – Timber or Cleo – with me so we can play together? Wouldn’t that be cool? Or I hope there is a kitty at home that will want to play with me! If you want a lot of fun in your life, you’ll want me because I LOVE to play – and you will need to play with meJ as well as appreciate my sweet and smart personality. If you’re looking for a kitty with a lot of enthusiasm and a zest for life, I’m your girl! I am tested negative, spayed, up to date on my shots, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Xandra, a Oakland Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
