Timber's Story...

Hey there. My name is Timber and, as you can see from my photo, I’m a totally cool-looking little kitten dude with a white nose and paws and gray tabby markings everywhere else. Sweeeeeet, huh? Well, that’s me. I like hanging out and chilling and really am a pretty mellow guy – for a kitten. Do remember I’m a kitten because I do love to play as well and would be super duper happy to be adopted with one of my sisters – Xandra and Cleo – as a playmate, or to live with another kitty in your home. I may be a little shy at first but once I get to know you I am a super affectionate lapcat' I learn to trust I will be super affectionate. I really love cuddle time and am happy to be petted and adored. I’m neutered, tested negative, microchipped and up to date on my shots when adopted. If you’re interested in me or my sisters, send an e-mail or fill out an application on the Web site at Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Timber, a Oakland Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
