My name is Johnson. You know, like Johnson & Johnson, which I’m told makes quite a fine baby powder. Only, I’m not a baby. No, I’m a gentle, easygoing gent who may be getting up a bit in years but is still able to give years of love to give the right home. I’m patient and endearing and when I look up at you with my big doe eyes, I think you’ll find I’m hard to resist. I’m about 15 years of age and weigh a little over 10 pounds. I’m quite affectionate and love to be groomed and, when it’s feeding time, I’ll wait patiently for you without calling attention to myself while you finish whatever it is you’re doing or whatever commotion is going on. I’m that easygoing and that much of a love bug. I have been neutered, tested negative and am up to date on my shots. I am in the East Bay.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Johnson, a Oakland Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
