Sonoma's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with cats.

Sonoma's Story...
My name is Sonoma but, according to my foster Mom, you could just as easily call me “Mr. Incredible” because that’s what she tells me I am when I am sitting on her lap purring, or making biscuits as she talks to me from across the room. You’ve heard that Maine Coons are affectionate and love people? Well, I would win a blue ribbon in that category because I really am happiest when I am next to or sitting on my foster Mom getting pets and some nice cuddling time together. Just see me in action on my video at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Q_EauBmWVw and you’ll see what I mean!
I came from the streets of Fresno and so I still look a bit ragged but good food and a safe place to live are helping me look better all the time! I have huge Maine Coon paws, gorgeous eyes with the famous Maine Coon eyeliner and a spirit that can’t be beat! I am a male who weighs about 9 lbs, am neutered, up to date with my shots, tested negative and am microchipped. I get along fine with other cats. Oh, I’ve had my teeth removed but can eat just fine!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonoma, a Oakland Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
