Red Robin's Story...

Hi there!  My name is Red Robin, and although I may not look like a Maine Coon, I was born to a Maine Coon mama not long after she was visited by a ‘traveling salesman.’ I’m every bit as special as a Maine Coon with my cali-tabby coat (calico mixed with tabby – very unusual!), white mittens and gorgeous golden eyes! I can be shy, but I warm up quickly with pets and my purr won’t stop but I need a quieter home (no young children). I’m just 3 months old now, so I have a lot of growing to do and lot of years ahead of me! I’m up to date on shots, have been spayed and microchipped, and I’m all ready for my forever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Red Robin, a Oakland Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
