My name is Mark (named after a loving volunteer of us kitties) and I am just waiting for you! I have gorgeous ear tuffs as you can see and really stunning markings on my fur – not really a tabby, more of a bit of a swirl pattern. I am a bit shy so need lots of cuddling and petting (and who doesn’t want to snuggle with a ten week old kitten?). And I am kind of a typical kitten – I love to play and nap. I’d love to go into a home where there is another kitty who loves kitties as I have some friends here in my foster home and love to hang out with them. I also probably need a home with older children. See me in my video at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q339Gk2CMxk I have tested negative, am up to date with my shots, am neutered and microchipped. So here I am! Come get me! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mark, a Oakland Maine Coon kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Maine Coon kitten from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
