Alexandria's Story...
Hi! My name is Alexandria. But you can call me Alex. Or Xandria. Or Sandy. Just don’t call me late for dinner. Hahahahahahaha. Get it? I made a joke. That’s because I’m a really happy girl -- a gorgeous, big, mellow, easy-going happy girl. I was rescued as an outside kitty living in coyote country so I’m REALLY happy that someone has helped me out of that situation. I show my happiness by making biscuits with my feet if you even just talk to me. I get along fine with other kitties and am probably okay with dogs and children as well. I’ve got this cool fur where the top layer is light black but the undercoat is white. And, as you can see from my photo, my tummy is all white. Cool, huh? I’m three years old and weigh nearly 12 pounds. I’ve been spayed, microchipped, tested negative and am up to date on all my shots. See me on my video at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79IN4bFbEx4 For more information, please contact Elaine at: 510-482-6179 elaineln@pacbell.net Adoption applications and all other available kitties can be found on our website: www.MaineCoonAdoptions.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alexandria, a Oakland Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
