Simba's Story...
My name is Simba. Some people who are “in the know” say that I am Flamepoint bicolor Ragdoll…what you can see from my photos is that I am pretty dog-gone handsome and just look at those blue eyes! I’m only two years of age and an absolute angel in personality. I was found wandering and put into a shelter where they found I was FIV-positive and it’s made it a little difficult to find me a home. Now most folks think that this is AWFUL but really, most of us FIV-positive kitties live very long and healthy lives and it’s even okay for us to
live in a house with other kitties and dogs. So please don’t let that keep you from adopting a guy like me who is such a doll and sure to bring all sorts of happiness to my forever home. I love hanging out with my people, am good with children and love being brushed and petted and am even a little angel when I visit the vet. I am neutered, microchipped and have been given an up-to-date health certificate from the vet (with whom I was so nice).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simba, a Oakland Ragdoll cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ragdoll for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Ragdoll cat from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ragdoll breeders who help with Ragdoll rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
