Razz's Story...
My name is Razz and I would prefer it if you didn’t, well, razz me about it. I’m actually quite the gentle soul who’s been through a hard time in a household that was going through a hard time (divorce, unemployment…). Think of me as the Yoga Master Zen kitty, one who would do best in an environment that’s serene and quiet. Once I’m comfortable in my environment, I’m an amazing kitty – profoundly intelligent, sensitive and sweet – and super social and playful. I’m a “seal point Ragdoll” and I’ve been told that’s pretty cool. I’m five years old and weigh 16 pounds and have amazing paw dexterity. I love to reach up and “pet” my people with his paws (hey, you do it, why shouldn’t I?) and chase objects (both real and imaginary) around the house. I love to look into your eyes with my big baby blues (think Elizabeth Taylor gorgeous in the eye department), and smile and purr. I have been neutered, microchipped, tested negative and am up to date on all my shots. If you’d like to see me in action, check me out at For more information, please contact Elaine at: 510-482-6179 Adoption applications and all other available kitties can be found on our website:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Razz, a Oakland Ragdoll cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ragdoll for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Ragdoll cat from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ragdoll breeders who help with Ragdoll rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
