Steve's Story...
Steve is my name and PLAYING is my game! If you want a man – oops – kitty of action – A-C-T-I-O-N then I am the kitty for you. Just look at my photos – is “cute” my middle name, or what?! I am about two years old and full of curiosity, energy and enthusiasm. I am also incredibly personable – I love people and my huge, intense eyes look right at you. I also love other kitties and I’d enjoy a busy family with another kitty and children that want to play! I can be initially a little shy but I do warm up quickly – all it takes is a wave of my pink feather toy and I am your best buddy! I weigh about 10 lbs and am a tall, long kitty that has the energy of a teenager! I am up to date on my shots, neutered, tested negative and microchipped. So come on and come have a lot of fun with me! You’ll see me in action on my first video shot a few months ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yP2kNxiLbrQ and now my most recent video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4Sm3sXup_I For more information, please contact Elaine at: 510-482-6179 elaineln@pacbell.net Adoption applications and all other available kitties can be found on our website: www.MaineCoonAdoptions.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Steve, a Oakland Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
