Harmon's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with cats.

Harmon's Story...

Just look at my fabulous Maine Coon eyes – you know the look – the “eyeliner-lined” eyes – a dead giveaway for us Maine Coons! And then look at my beautiful ruff framing my handsome face, and big framed body – and yup, here I am, Harmon – a Maine Coon (ok, so I am a Maine Coon mix…big deal!). I have a terrific personality along with my handsome looks – I love petting, am quite social, do fine with other cats and might even do well with dogs. Some days I’m in the mood to play, some days I like to snooze, some days I like to look out the window – but I always LOVE pets and affection, and respond to it very enthusiastically! I’m about four years old; almost 12 pounds (of love and sweetness), am neutered, tested negative, am up to date on my shots and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harmon, a Oakland Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
