Beatrice's Story...

Hello, my name is Beatrice. The name is Latin for “happy”, which is funny in an ironic sort of way because I’m not particularly happy right now. I mean, would you be happy if you were dumped off at the San Francisco Animal Control JUST because you didn’t get along with the other cat you lived with? Luckily, the kind people at Nine Lives Foundation rescued me and showed what a nice girl I can be when I’m outside of a cage. I’m a gorgeous Himalayan/Ragdoll mix and loved to be groomed and am ever so patient when I’m being combed (even when I had mattes!). I’d do best in a home where I am the only kitty and can be the beautiful princess I am meant to be. I hope that’s with you! I have been spayed, tested negative and am up to date on my shots.

For more information, please contact the Nine Lives Foundation on (650) 368-1365 or ninelivesfoundation@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beatrice, a Oakland Ragdoll cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ragdoll for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Ragdoll cat from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ragdoll breeders who help with Ragdoll rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
