Rabbit's Story...

Hi. My name is Rabbit and please, please, please don’t judge me by this photo! Think of it as the DMV photo of the kitty world because I’m actually a very beautiful girl, with Russian blue markings and gorgeous green eyes. I’m a little girl at two years of age and very friendly and a big talker who will make a great companion kitty. I’d probably be happiest to be the only kitty but would probably be okay with another cat if it’s a nice cat. I am not big on dogs. I love to be held and petted and sitting in laps during TV time (which is why I would prefer being an only kitty - who wants to share a lap, right?). I have been spayed, microchipped, tested negative and am up to date on all my shots

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rabbit, a Oakland Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
