Lacey-URGENT's Story...

My name is Lacey and I’m a gentle, affectionate, five-year-old girl who needs a new home. Hope it’s with you! I’m a real people-kitty and enjoy hanging out with my people, whether they’re doing homework or house work. Heck, I’ll even help supervise when my box is being cleaned. If I had opposable thumbs and could hold the scooper, I’d probably be happy to do it myself! I’m a talkative girl who enjoys a good conversation both with my people and with the birds I see from the windows (although the conversation is a little more one-sided with the birds – a lot of yelling at them to get off my tree!!!). I really enjoy watching the world from the window. I am also very playful and love all of the usual cat toys and even some of the more unusual toys like, say, cardboard boxes. I weigh 15 pounds, have been declawed, spayed, and am used to living in a house with other cats, dogs, and children. I’m currently living in San Diego but can be transported to wherever you are.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lacey-URGENT, a Oakland Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
