Butters's Story...
Butters - is a 2-3 year old spayed female. Butters has been with us for several months and is desperately seeking a permanent home. She is a very sweet young lady who loves to give head bumps. For those who are familiar with torti types she does have your typical torti attitude and will let you know when she's ready to take a break from receiving attention. She gets along extremely well with kittens and other adult cats. She was originally found as a stray who was very thin and full of parasites. With deworming, a little TLC, and good veterinary care she is now feeling healthy and ready to find a loving home where she will be cared for properly. Butters is current on her vaccinations and has tested negative for Feline Leukemia, FIV, and heartworms.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Butters, a Fairfax Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fairfax, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Fairfax.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairfax already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairfax breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairfax paves the way for another one to be saved.
