My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mayan is a beautiful Tri-Color, male, Jack Russell Terrier. He is full of energy and loves to play! He has an eye deformity in his left eye, but it doesn't slow him down one bit. He is 1 year old and has been neutered. He is current on his shots and heart worm negative. Mayan is a smart boy and he's very eager to learn. He picked up on sit and down within minutes. Mayan gets along with his foster mom’s other dogs very well. He likes to snuggle on the sofa and watch television with you, walks great on a leash, and is perfectly crate trained. Mayan’s foster mom provided us an update on 4/15/15. Here is what she has to say about this darling dog: “Mayan is sleeping out of the crate in bed with me without accidents but is still crated while I'm at work. He loves going for car rides, dog park trips, long neighborhood walks and out hiking in the local wilderness park. He will stay with "the pack" while off leash at the wilderness park and comes running full speed if he gets left behind and you call for him. He is a total love bug and is joy to have around. We are starting more obedience work soon and someone is going to get themselves an awesome little man!” Mayan would do best in a home with no kids. If you are interested in adopting Mayan, please start by filling out an application at russellrescue.com. Once you submit an application, a Russell Rescue representative will contact you. If you have questions, please contact Sandra at jolleyjames@sbcglobal.net. We will not place Mayan in a home out of state. A home visit and vet check are mandatory. Mayan’s adoption fee is $200.
