Duchess's Story...
If you are someone who has been wanting to rescue a senior dog who is laid back and super loving, we have the perfect match for you! Duchess is a medium sized Lab Mix gal with a beautiful black coat. She deserves to be treated like a queen for the remainder of her golden years. Duchess had been living outside with many other strays in a make shift rescue. ITV saw how special this gal is, so we scooped her up and started the search for a forever home for her. Duchess is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm negative.

Duchess' Foster Mom reports that this gal is quiet and laid back. She gets along well with all sizes of dog. Duchess is working hard on her potty manners. Duchess is also learning to walk on a leash. This gal wants to be your new best friend as soon as she meets you. Duchess is only 11 years young and she is looking forward to several good years of golden years in a home. Duchess can't wait to meet the family she will be loyal to. Please go to ITVRescue.org and complete an online adoption application. Gentle Duchess is dreaming of being your full time companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duchess, a Evansville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
