MEET MONA (the before/after pictures say it all...)
Adoption fee $150
This baby girl was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Dade County about 2 years ago as a hot mess. We presume her to be 7 or 8 years old (very hard to tell - her teeth are actually in pretty good condition...) She was a puppy mill mama dog, and when her litters diminished, they dumped her. Her skin looked like Elephant hide and her eyes and ears were nasty. She has been fully vetted; bathed, scraped, vaccinated, treated for heart worm, has had 2 eye surgeries and has been living in a foster home with several other small dogs. She will require eye drops DAILY as she does have dry eye and she does suffer from frequent ear infections. She doesn't LIKE to be groomed, (cause they never groomed her...) but she is getting better with the process.
She is a Hairless Chinese Crested who has NEVER been cared for - until she came into our care. Her skin is 95% better now than it was when she came to us. She completed her treatment for heart worm, has been spayed and micro-chipped. She is very sweet, independent, not needy at all... loves playing with her ball, and being near her human. .. and gets excited when she sees kids! -dog friendly & housebroken.

NOTE: Adoption fees are applied towards the vet bill: Exam, blood tests, vaccinations, fecal, worming, spay/neuter, and microchip. There is rarely anything left over, but if that happens, the monies get applied to the next or previous pet - who may have had to have an x-ray, be groomed or have a dental.
