Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Russell is a very charming 1.5 year old German Shepherd Dog / Shar Pei Mix. At first he will be timid but after getting used to someone, he is a very loving energetic companion. I would suggest that he goes to a home that has another dog because he is very pack oriented. He is very sweet, gentle and affectionate. He is very familiar with the commands sit, down, and shake. Sometimes when you arrive back home he gets so excited that he will jump up but once you tell him sit and down he will calm down. He will make a great family member to any house hold. He is very much a good friend and protector. Any home will be lucky to have him.
Russ original came to ARR from a hoarding situation. He was very shut down and afraid of people. We worked with Russ for several months and watched him blossom into a great dog. Russel was adopted 8 months ago. His adopter is being relocated by his work and they wont allow him to take the dog. - Since all of our adoptable pets are currently in foster homes, please contact Animal Rescue Recon to set up an appointment for a meet and greet. If there is already a dog or children in the home, please plan on bringing them too.
- Pictures of secured fencing is required for all Animal Rescue Recon dogs unless approved for apartment living.
- If you rent a home or apartment we need to review your lease agreement to verify pets are allowed upon adoption.
