My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BOLIN is a 4 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 80 pounds. Bolin is a handsome and active guy looking for his perfect family. Bolin needs an active adoptive family that will give him the time, attention and exercise that he needs. He is high energy and will benefit from regular exercise. He is strong on leash and needs work on that, an easy walk harness will help while he is learning. He is house trained. Bolin is good with other dogs. From transporter: He is a beautiful dog and a perfect passenger. He is very strong on leash with lots of energy. He will need training, but he is a total love bug. Owner surrendered Bolin to the shelter. He is approved for kids 10+.

Update (9/21): Bolin is doing awesome. He is still working on keeping calm when he wants your attention. He has made so much progress- I am so proud of him! We were playing with the squeaky tennis ball this weekend he'd run and get it bring it back often but not all of the time. He's a loverboy. He wants to lay on your lap when your watching TV. If it's something that really interests him he'll sit up next to you and watch with great interest. He loves to be my shadow. He follows me all around the house while I do my chores. He is a great companion. He loves to have your undivided attention when you're playing or when he wants to lay or sit with you. He is now giving me his paw which is new for him. He's great at Sit, and down. He loves to give hugs, he will stand on his hind legs and wrap his paws around you and he'll give you a hug.

Update (8/24): Bolin is doing great. Everyone that meets him comments on his beautiful eyes and his beautiful coat. Inside he is a snuggler, loves to cuddle and be a your side. He just wants to be with us. He is great with waiting to be released to start eating his food. When it's treat time he knows in order to get the treat you must sit nicely....He is always the first one sitting and looking quite stoic as he waits for my other 3 dogs to get it together so they can all get their treats. He is so gentle taking treats from your hand as well.

Update (7/22): Bolin is Mr. Tall dark and handsome, with beautiful copper eyes. It’s been a long road but he’s truly evolved into a dog that loves to hang with his people. He is a velcro lab that will follow you everywhere you go especially if he thinks he may get a treat. He is a bird dog for sure, he will watch TV with intense concentration if there is a show with birds on it, like a hunting show, duck or goose hunting he loves to watch. Outside he watches the sky looking for birds, big or little it doesn’t matter.
He is good around other dogs but he does enjoy being the center of attention. He’s a big boy that is strong and we are working on walking on the leash. He is crate trained and does very well in it while we are at work. In the back yard he likes to run after sticks and he's become a fan of squeaky tennis balls. He will run and go get them but not always a fan of giving them back to you.

Jun 11, 2015: Bolin has learned many commands and his manners have improved dramatically. He enjoys playing in the yard with the resident labs and gets along with them, but he would also enjoy being the center of attention in his forever family. He would love to be someone's jogging partner and buddy. He loves to play in the yard and fetch sticks. Bolin is crated for the work day and does very well. He's been waiting patiently for his forever family.

Update (4/29): Bolin is doing well with the routine. He gets along with the resident dogs, but he loves to be the center of attention. He's a love sponge just like the resident dogs. His manners are improving, although he will try to steal food off the counter if given the chance. He's slowly getting better on the leash, it's a work in progress. He's a beautiful boy who is improving and learning manners. He's comfortable in the foster home but is on the hunt for his forever family!

NOTE: Not for first time adopters, needs to go to a home where he will get regular exercise and obedience training.
