My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

TRIXIE
2 year old, Female, Calico Manx

June update: Trixie was so very cuddly today I had to take photos. She is such a lap cat. She wants to climb on your lap and stay. “Please love me, hold me,” she seems to say.. When you get yourself up to do some chores, she will follow you around like a little pug dog. She has gotten a little pudgy while waiting for her home so we have her on reducing kibble with more playtime. "Works for me,” she says.

Trixie is the nicest girl--she likes cats, people, all food, sunshine, laps, & all manner of pets. She likes to play but she likes to cuddle even more. Other cats seem to be drawn to her. She is a very special little character and will be a great companion to some lucky family.

Original post: Trixie is a little girl. She looks bigger than she really is in these photos. She is built like a little tank with the very solid and compact body that Manxes are known for. She has a nubbin of a little tail that sticks up -- it is just the Manxtuft of fur and cartilage known as a “ rumpy riser". So cute.
She is still a baby girl at two years of age and as they say, "girls just want to have fun." Any waving feather grabs her attention right away. She loves to play and is very entertaining to watch. "Catnip?? Do I smell catnip?" she seems to say. That grabs her attention faster than anything.

Calico’s tend to be opinionated and a little edgy, but Trixie, despite her very vivid calico coloring, is really a very good-natured and agreeable girl. She is very cat friendly and mothers shy kitties. She loves humans and all the attention and good things they bring. I don’t know how she would be with a dog, but she sure would be cute with a little pug, for example, if they became play buddies.

Her rear paws sometimes, but not always, turn outwards more than normal. This does not seem to bother her and is part of her cuteness. It is just something she was born with. I expect she has a little hip dysplasia.

She eats wet and dry food happily and is litterbox perfect.

She is fostered in Santa Cruz, CA.
