My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PIPPA is a 1 year old spayed black female Lab who weighs 40 pounds. Pippa is all puppy – wiggly, friendly, rambunctious, and high energy. Pippa is great with other dogs. She met the evaluator’s pack (a male, two females), and did great. She is on the small side so won’t be a big lab. Pippa tolerates handling very well, doesn’t mind you touching her ears, pulling her tail, even a little pinch only got her excited in a good way! She is attentive and makes eye contact so training should be easy. Pippa is approved for kids ages 10+.

update (4/10): Pippa has settled nicely into a daily routine. She really enjoys going to work and makes herself right at home, curls up in the chair next to her foster's desk and naps. When its time to take a break she is excited to finally be off activity restrictions and can't wait to romp around the yard, chase tennis balls and pick up sticks. Pippa is learning how to play with her foster siblings and share toys. She has several favorites including a stuffed ring that she likes to sleep with as well as a cat toy. She has not met a toy yet that she does not like. Speaking of cats, she loves our kitty and would like nothing better than to play but settles for a few kisses and sharing the dog bed with kitty next to her for some dream time. Pippa is a really is a sweet girl who wants to please you. She is inquisitive and eager to learn - especially if the reward is yummy! Its hard not to fall in love with this super sweet girl who wants nothing more than pets and to snuggle next to you.

Update (4/9): Hi! I'm Pippa and I am in search of a loving family to call my own. I am the sweetest lap size bundle of love looking to snuggle up with a toy next to my human. Speaking of toys, I love them all! I am very smart and I listen and learn quickly. My foster mom says I can melt any heart with my eyes so if you have room in your heart and your life for someone like me, please call an adoption coordinator today!

Update (4/4): Pippa is a very sweet lap-size bundle of love looking to snuggle up with a toy next to her human. She loves all toys--balls, Kongs, stuffed animals, cat toys, sticks. She loves to play but may be a little too rambunctious for the older resident dog, so she would do great in a home with another young and playful pup. She is very fond of the cat and loves kissing her but the cat is not feeling the love. Pippa would do fine with a dog-savvy cat. She's working on her leash skills. She listens well as long as she gets a break between training sessions. She enjoys treats and takes them very gently. At dinner time she sits really pretty and wags her tail the entire time she's eating. At night she sleeps on a comfy bed in a crate which usually has something special waiting for her, like a Kong. She loves to go outside and romp in the grass and chase leaves. Pippa can melt any heart with her eyes, so if you have room in your heart and your life for someone like her, don't wait any longer to meet her.
