My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stella is a 3 year old Boerboel that was transferred to us from an SPCA in PA. She is located in Chicago, IL. Stella has been doing well! She needs slow and confident introductions, as she is still adjusting to life outside the shelter. Not yet ready to meet resident dogs as she is still working on her impulse control. Stella is house broken and will paw the door to go outside. Stella can get out of the kennel very fast, but is fine in her room. She is not destructive when left alone. She is confident, and needs a breed savvy owner that is familiar with the traits of a guard dog breed. Stella knows heel, sit, down, paw, and drop it for commands. Very smart and quick learner! Very sweet and loving of family, including 6 year old child. Stella is still a puppy, even though she is over 100 lbs. She has been labeled special needs due to very mild hip dysplasia which is very common in giant breed dogs that are not bred with health in mind.
