Here's what the humans have to say about me:
AVAILABLE 03-31-15 Jake was brought to the Shelter as a stray by an Animal Control Officer. Since his arrival, we have been trying to figure out what Breed(s) are in his genetic makeup. He's such a unique looking guy with his longer fur, feathering on his legs, tail kinda' like an Afghan, tuff of fur on his head; the consensus is that Jake is mostly English Setter (let us know what you think). He's a playful pup - at the most a year old. He might know what "sit" means - at least he seems to do it a lot. Jake does pretty well on leash walks. We really thought someone would be looking for this great looking dog, but as of 03-29-15 no one has called or come, so on 03-31-15 Jake will be available for adoption. He would be a great asset to any family; there's only one "deficit" - Jake tested positive for heart worm disease which is quite treatable, but can be costly. Please if you think you might be able to help Jake/adopt him - contact the Shelter ASAP 252-338-5222 or email - spcaofnenc@gmail.com.
