There's always gotta be one Drama Queen in the bunch and when parts were given out, Spike raised his paw real high for that one!! With a "tough guy" name like Spike, you'd expect that he'd roll up his sleeves and ride Harley's but this boy is more like the Cowardly Lion -- all roar until you say "Boo"!! For example, at the vet's office, he was calm and confident in his foster mom's arms until the vet went to take him . . . and then he screamed like she was killing him!! So his foster mom set him on the ground and he was fine; the little Primadonna wanted the exam on his terms. Spike is very loving with the other puppies and dogs at his foster home, and he's a really great snuggler with the school aged children. He gets a little nervous in new settings but he responds to, well . . . babying!! Spike is about 3 months old and he's a healthy boy. He was one of 9 pups born to a Lab/Rhodesian Ridgeback mom and a Lab/Basset dad and he was the only one lucky enough to inherit his mom's Ridge, making his hair look spiked down his neck, thus his name Spike.
