Roxy's Story...
My name is Roxy and I am a 12 year old wire haired jack Russell terrier. I am homeless because my owner's health failed. I am a wonderful senior girl who needs a new home. I have a clean bill of health. I came with a senior panel that said I am 100 percent healthy. I do have a fatty tumor, but it is not affecting my health in any way. It isn't pretty but the group is hoping someone will see past it and see what a great dog Iam. Removing it would be just cosmetic surgery and I hope the group can use their money in better ways. However if people won't adopt me because of it then they will try and raise the money to do it. Do you care if I have some lumps?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxy, a Wilmington Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
