Summer the Tripawd's Story...
Summer is 9 years old, 8 pounds. She is a happy-go-lucky little lady with an upbeat personality. Everyone who meets her instantly falls in love. She gets along great with other animals & people. She was brought to Carson Shelter as a stray on 2/18 with a bad back leg. Her toenails were painted red, but were so overgrown that one was embedded into her toe pad! She was microchipped, but the owners never showed up for her. She has an old injury on her back leg that was left untreated & healed on its own. She had her leg amputated & her dirty teeth cleaned. She also got a little wheelchair to work with for when her back leg gets tired on walks. She still loves to go for walks & gets around great! You'd never know there was anything wrong with her. She is so happy & loving.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Summer the Tripawd, a Lomita Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Lomita, or seeking a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Lomita.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lomita already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lomita breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lomita paves the way for another one to be saved.
