My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

TATOR TOT is a 1 1/2 old neutered yellow male Lab who weighs 66 pounds. He is a happy friendly dog who wants to please whoever he is with. He likes to play and thinks getting petted is great. He likes to retrieve brings it back some of the time, the others he wants you to play chase with him. He is a young Lab looking for an active family that will give him some training and exercise. Knows sit, down and come. He will have a training addendum as he is a young dog. Pulls a bit on lead at first, better with an Easy Walk Harness. Tater Tot is crate trained and may be house trained as he is keeping room clean at the kennel. Our evaluator says Tater Tot is a very nice boy. He was excited to see me but settled down nicely and let me pet him all over. He loves to play and retrieve. After I played with him a bit he sat right next to me for pets. Like most young pups he can use some training. Tater Tot is approved for kids ages 10+.

Update (5/5): Tater Tot continues to be such a sweet loving young guy. He LOVES to give LOVE and be LOVED. He is great with people and other dogs. Is “treat motivated.” . He would do best in a fenced in yard. His hobbies include eating, squirrel watching, eating, people pleasing, eating, tail wagging, and did I mention he likes to eat! Such a Lab! He is strong and pulls on the leash will do better with an Easy walk Harness He is crate and house trained He has definitely won a place in his Foster Parents hearts.

Update (3/31): I got sprung from the kennel and went for a ride with three other dogs. When we stopped I was in this big yard with a house so had some investigating to do, roamed through all the rooms sniffing everything. I can tell there have been other dogs here before, lots of them. I really like the back room because it has lots of windows for me to look out of. I saw a bird in the water, maybe when it gets warmer I will be able to get in too. They have all these beds lying around, but I'm not sure what to do with them yet but will watch what the resident pups do.. My foster mom took me for a walk out back close to the water I pull a little bit I'm sure I will get better. I got on the sofa because I saw one of the fosters up there so joined him.. . I'm pretty calm, love to give kisses and like to be petted I picked up a tennis ball that was on the floor but not sure what I'm supposed to do with it. All I need is a forever family who will love me , take me out to their back yard and teach me how to play and go on walks. .
