My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JAKE is an 8 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 67 pounds. Jake is a distinguished elder dog with a lot of love to give! He is crate trained but hasn't been in one for a while now. He slept in owner's room on a dog bed. He knows basic commands. He'll stay and wait for food till you tell him. He'll wait for you to go up or down stairs when told and in and out of doors. He is a mush, and a love. He is approved for kids 10+.

Update (4/10): Jake is a love bug and a beautiful black lab. He has the silkiest, soft coat and is in great shape. He’s also calm and easy going, yet appropriately playful. He’s a Velcro lab and loves to be with his peeps. He also loves to meet other dogs and plays very well at the dog park, but is happy to leave the pack to smell. Jake, overall, is a happy dog, despite his several recent moves, he is adjusting quite quickly and well. Jake knows basic commands, is smart and food-driven, so would be great to train with positive reinforcement. He easily figured out the treat game toys and loves a peanut butter filled kong. He’s pulled a bit on a lead, but is getting better and would be great with a harness or leash training. He shows some prey drive with cats and squirrels in the neighborhood. He loves to check people out by sniffing them and then snuggling. He’s got a great lab lean and loves a good back and ear rub. Jake may be eight years old with a handsome grey beard, but he seems much younger 8 is the new 5! Jake is in is prime and would make a great new companion to any home!
