Callie's Story...

A beautiful and uniquely patterned calico domestic short haired cat almost a year old.   This adorable cat is a stray that once trust has been gained enjoys and asks for petting even before she eats.  She comes when called and also responds to the name “Baby”.  She has been spayed and treated / tested with no problems.   Callie just recently gave birth to 3 cute kittens which are also up for adoption.   She is looking for a home where she will be loved and can love in return.   She would make a great outdoor cat, but is sweet enough to also make a great indoor cat. She would need to be provded with a protected outdoor area that is safe from traffic and other dangers. She really is a sweet cat with a sweet disposition.   When we first befriended her about a month and a half ago, she was very shy, but after a few weeks was eating out of our hands and wanting to be loved on, even laying down by us to be petted.   She now hangs out in our backyard and meows to get our attention so she can have company – in fact is laying down looking at me while I write this information about her.   Please give her a chance – for the most part, the 1st year of her life has been hard as a stray and she deserves to be in a loving home where she can return that love.   My family has become attached to her since Callie is so sweet, but we are praying that she is soon adopted into a loving home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Callie, a Orlando Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Orlando, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Orlando.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orlando already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orlando breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orlando paves the way for another one to be saved.
