Kaley's Story...

My name is  Kaley . I was named  Kaley  because a nice lady who was a delivery driver found me in a storm drain on the side of I-4 and  Kaley .  I was brought in as a kitten so tiny I had to be fed with a bottle!!  Thank goodness for Patrick! He is my BFFF ( best furry friend forever) and other two-legged friends because I am now a super cute, chubby kitty. There are other fosters at my house and I get along great with all of them. There are other rescues, too. The biggest is Bella.  She is pawsome! She is a 109lb. St. Bernard and we play and play! She is one of my BFFF too! I love to jump on her tail and go for a ride.  My two legged mom says I am not afraid of vacuums, kids, cats or dogs. Even though she says we have fish, I don't know if we are friends because I haven't met them yet.  I am looking for my forever home. The only thing Patrick says I need is love because I have a lot of love to give.  My foster family says I am not designer. That means I am just a cute grey and white kitten. I worry that means I won't find a home. But, my foster mom says not to worry because my personality makes me special and someone will love me for me. :-). I can't wait!

Kaley will be available to go to a new home around Aug 24, after her spay surgery.  Applications can be submitted online  now via www.thewayhomeinc.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kaley, a Orlando Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Orlando, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Orlando.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orlando already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orlando breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orlando paves the way for another one to be saved.
