Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our puppy mill survivor Jack come to us from a large scale puppy mill bust out in Oregon. Jack was transferred to us thru a new program that has been put into place by the ASPCA. B.E.A.R. was very excited to help this organization with the Akitas!
Here is what we have learned about Jack:
Gentle Jack is a little unsure when he first meets you, but warms up as soon as you grab his leash for a walk .We think that is Jack's favorite way to make new friends! We feel Jack would do best in a quiet home, with a gentle, soft spoken owner, who can take their time to help Jack overcome what he has endured while he survived in a mill setting. We have found that Jack does do well around other dogs, however he does play rough so he would do best with a bigger female who can handle Jack's style of play. We would like to see Jack go to a calm adult-only home with a secured 6-foot or more fenced-in yard. Jack is housebroken, leash trained, and crates well. He is a gentle soul who needs a chance at being loved and knowing what it is like to live life as a companion and not just 'something to profit from.'
