Here's what the humans have to say about me:
CAESAR is a 12 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 47 pounds. Caesar is a sweet and petite gentleman. This little guy lived with the same family since he was a puppy, but some recent changes in their schedules made them give him up. Caesar is house trained and crate trained, but he doesn't need to be. He used to have free reign of the house in his previous home. He walks well on the leash without pulling. Caesar knows several commands: sit, down, stay, paw. Caesar is used to playing with other dogs and was friendly with visiting dogs. He's stayed at a foster home temporarily and got along very well with the resident female dog. He doesn't seem interested in cats. Caesar is looking for a family who will love him and appreciate his sweet personality and company. Caesar is not used to long workdays. He likes the company of his humans, so not recommended for someone who is gone more than 6 hours at a time. He is approved for kids 7+.
Update (4/6): Caesar absolutely loves to soak up affection! He really likes to get his ears and head rubbed and will lay his head in your lap. He will also roll on his side for a rub. He put his front paws up on my husbands lap to get a good scratch. He doesn't really seem to be all that food driven which means he never begs! He always seems to be smiling and wags his tail constantly, he is a gem!
Update (4/3): Yesterday Caesar accompanied his foster on 2 walks, about 20 min each, with the resident lab. He does well on the leash. Caesar paid no mind to other dogs along the walk, even though the resident dog was barking :). He saw a cat about 10 feet away and perked up his ears a bit but didn't pull on the leash and walked right by. Caesar is doing well with the resident dog but is not interested in engaged in play. He would do best in a home with a mellow dog and not an energetic one that expects him to play. He has shown interest in a tennis ball, but not really the retrieving part of it! He is a happy guy waiting for his forever family!
