Homer's Story...
Good day AGB friends. My name is Homer and I am here with my sister, Molly VI. Our owners brought us to AGB as they recently started new jobs that take up most of their time and they have a toddler who may be allergic to our dander. It was very sad for all of us, but AGB promised them they would work very hard to find a great home for us and that hopefully we can stay together. I am 3 years old and weigh 70 pounds and my sister Molly is 2 years old and a little bigger than me at 81 pounds. I have some hot spots and dermatitis as well as a little heart murmur, which AGB and their wonderful doctors are helping me with. Molly is on a diet to help her get back her girlish figure. Until recently we were kept inside so we are housebroken and crate trained. I know some tricks like sit, stay and down. I get along well with other dogs and cats. I like to ride in the car and play ball. My sister Molly is a very sweet, loving girl. She is laid back and gets along great with kids, other dogs and pretty much everyone. I look out for Molly. Even when I am playing I like to keep my eye on her, but I guess that is what big brothers do. Molly and I both like to play, go for walks and we love to be petted and cuddled. If you are looking for a pair of Goldens to fill your life with love and laughter, Molly and I are just what you need. So go ahead and fill out an adoption application with AGB and ask to meet Homer & Molly today. We are certain that once you meet us, your heart will belong to us!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Homer, a BIRMINGHAM Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
