Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lilly is a 6 yr Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever mix. She's a beautiful girl with such a happy spirit. Lilly loves following her mom around the house and basically just hanging out with her foster family.
She has tested positive for Heartworm and has been treated. She'll need to be on a no activity regimen for the next 30 to 60 days while she recovers from this treatment.
Both her treatment and blood test after 6 months are paid for by GRFR at one of our contracted vets. She will need to be kept quiet for 30 days post treatment. Lily's forever family will need to be sure she takes a monthly heartworm preventative year round. Some people might be leery of a dog like Lilly who has had heartworm, but there is no need to be. It is both curable and preventable.
Please take a look at www.goldenretrieverfreedom.org for updates. Please review the adoption requirements before submitting an online application.
