Daisy Dane's Story...
*****SPECIAL NEEDS DEAF*****
Daisy Dane is a gorgeous Great Dane, approximately 2 years old. Daisy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, flea, tick prevention and is microchipped. Daisy is high heartworm positive and we are treating her via our slow kill protocol and will explain and provide treatment to the Adopter.
Daisy was Rescued out of a high kill shelter in Georgia, we were her last resort. She was originally picked up as a stray. She arrived in Rescue very thin, hip and back bones showing she now is a healthy weight but still could use to gain a few more extra pounds. Good weight for Daisy would be around 120lbs she is currently 112lbs. Daisy is Deaf and is trained on hand signals for sit, down and wait. Daisy does have separation anxiety and is now used to going into her kennel with a hand signal but this took a month to train her to get comfortable being left for short period of time. Daisy needs someone to be around, she panics when her favorite people are out of sight. She also loves to sleep on a sofa or bed with her person. She is a loving, gentle giant but if someone comes to the door or gate she will let them know she is in Charge, Daisy is very Protective! She will not bite but her Bark and presence is enough to let someone know she means business.
Daisy does well with all dogs, not sure how she is with cats. Children she is fine with and loves everybody she meets. She truly is am Amazing Girl.
