Toto's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Toto's Story...
Toto, and her sister Ruby, were surrendered to Helping Strays because their family is going to have another baby and can not give the dogs the attention they deserve. Toto plays well with children and is gentle. She knows basic commands such as kennel, sit, down, and base (her fluffy dog bed). Toto does have a terrier like personality; feisty, energetic and can be a bit bossy. She will need to be refreshed on her house training skills, she tends to have accidents. Keeping Toto and Ruby together would be best for them while they adjust to their new lives; if this is not possible, this sweet girl will need some time to adjust to her new life and will need guidance and reassurance along the way.

Toto's adoption fee is $175; she is microchipped, spayed, and up to date on vaccines. Some of our pets are in foster care. If you are interested in a specific pet, please contact the shelter at 618-282-7387 to arrange a meeting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toto, a Columbia Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
