My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello World!
My name is Parker and my Mom says I’m a delightful bichon boy of about two. She says I’m a happy, friendly, loving and amazingly sweet little guy, weighing almost eleven pounds and with gorgeous brown eyes. I have a very sweet energy and I love to walk. Mom says I prance proudly like I’m on parade for the Queen of England. (People stop and comment about me, too.) I take it in stride ‘cause that’s the kind of guy I am.
As young as I am, I have developed some amazingly special traits. You see I’m not only SMART, I’m also very analytical. I like to ‘size up’ the situation and decide what is happening. I’m always aware of where people are and what they are doing. That goes for the other furkids and the cat, too.
My Aunties say that I can be a very playful guy and that I’m willing to share my toys. I’m a really kind ‘foster brother’ to Teddy -- and when he’s playing with my toy I go and take his. Mom says I patiently wait for the most opportune moment to steal his toy. She says she can watch my ‘gears moving.’ Silly Mom. I’m a furkid not a car!
While I enjoy time with Teddy and our doggy foster brother, I don’t automatically love every pup, like he does. I have to figure out who I like and don’t like. At the dog park, I’m more likely to stand back for a while, play a little, then jump on Mom’s lap and watch the other pups. At home I will play with my doggy foster brothers- but then tell them when I want them to stop. (They can go right on playing though– just without me!)
I do, however, really like the people they call adults. I also like to go for walks, rides in the car (and the golf cart), know a number of commands (like ‘sit’, ‘stay’ and ‘fetch.’) I’m also pretty good in a crate but love to sleep in the Big People’s Bed at night. Mom says she needs to find out how I am with children and will report back on that shortly. So far I seem to be pretty friendly.
I’m a people-friendly guy who is eager to please, very smart (and aware) and a major cuddle bug. What I really need now is a forever family to call my own and a furkid buddy that I select to be my friend. Will you be the one for me? I’ll be looking around to see if you are – and analyzing the situation.
Until then, Bichon waves and wags,
Playful and Precious Parker
