ASTRID's Story...
Available for adoption at the NO-KILL Bergen County Protect & Rescue Shelter in Cliffside Park, NJ.

Hello, my name is ASTRID. My nick name is Astro, short for Astronaut, because I like to jump up on high places – Wheeeeeeeeee!!

I have been living at the shelter since January, 2013. I know that everyone here really loves me a lot, but I can’t help wonder though what it would be like to be – Freeeeeeeeee!!

My shelter cat girlfriends, Kelly and Daniella, just went to their fur-ever home 3 weeks ago, I saw the whole thing, and later I saw pictures of them in a nice big house! I want someone to come and take me home too!

ASTRID is about 3-4 yrs old. Come to the shelter to meet ASTRID and all of our other wonderful cats. Call 201 945 0649 for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ASTRID, a Cliffside Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cliffside Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Cliffside Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cliffside Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cliffside Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cliffside Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
