A hit and run may have left my hind end paralyzed, but I am not helpless. I am not hopeless. I have a love that burns a turbo engine! I find camaraderie in people of all ages and dogs of all kinds; I’ll even roll with cats. Sure, I am aware of the challenges that my physical state brings, but the emotional rewards are undeniable. I have risen above all these challenges and seek a family that has the strength to stand beside me. Come on, I’ll even give you a head start!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Martin, a Portland German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
