Luna therapy dog's Story...
Lovely Luna was saved from a high kill shelter and is currently decompressing in a boarding facility and she needs a home! She has an old injury and a slight limp, but that doesn’t stand in this delightful dogs way, she’s very friendly, happy and young. She’s a Chow mix, female and at approximately 50 pounds, a terrific size. She walks well on leash and has had some training – Luna loves her people so please consider being that person/ home for her. Look at that smile!!

If you are interested in meeting her please contact us – info is below:

Please send us an email to pets.katrina@gmail.com. It is best to contact us via email first as the Dog Shack is run on a volunteer basis. Our number as a reference is: 415-457-4544

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luna therapy dog, a Sacramento Chow Chow/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Chow Chow/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Chow Chow/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
