Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cooper is a two year old special needs male. He is a left rear leg amputee after being hit by a car and sustaining a break that was, after two opinions, deemed not repairable due to complexity and location. Cooper is three months post op, fully healed, adjusted well to only having three legs and ready for adoption. He is currently being fostered in Galesburg, IL with a resident chihuahua whom he is great with. Cooper is an absolute sweetheart who doesn't know a stranger of any age and does the cutest happy dance when he knows he is going for a walk. He know how to sit on command and is house trained. Cooper will of course be placed as an inside companion in a home with easy access to a fenced yard to insure his safely and enjoy outside time. He will need daily walk to build muscle strength and tone in his remaining rear leg. This boy is an absolute joy!
Please visit our web site at www.gprci.com for adoption information. Our adoption application can be completed on line or downloaded. A securely fenced yard is required for adoption of our rescues with very few exceptions. Great Pyrenees Rescue of Central Illinois is a 501 (c) (3) not for profit and is licensed by the State of Illinois.
